Researching
If you need an experienced journalist who can move patiently and swiftly through documents, interviews and technical information, perhaps you've found them. I am happy to take on a role as lead reporter or as background researcher, as long as the topic interests me.
Specialties include (climate related) carbon accounting and PFAS pollution, especially in the context of industry, but happy to work on anything involving physics/chemistry/toxicology or just “hard numbers” in general. Big data and archives, geomapping, research, physics/statistical modelling, anything that can be tackled with research, code and patience is game.
Another important area of research and interest is human and environmental rights and regulations, often taking a side-tour through lobbying and modern-day activism. This includes legislative analysis as well, with plenty of knowledge about both administrative and court procedures (especially in Belgium).

Writing
Of course research and writings investigative publications go hand in hand, drafts and editorial processes are therefor familiar friends.
Essays, interviews (with for example scientists or writers), explanatory pieces and opinion pieces all have a place in my heart and portfolio as well, especially if they connect directly with my fields of interest.
If you have a writing assignment in mind, shoot.
Speaking
A stage is just as comfortable as any medium for me to tell these stories. This can be keynotes, presentations of my investigative work, debate, or interviews (as the subject or the interviewer), there is little off limits here.
While there are existing talks that can be presented available, making something custom tailored towards a specific audience and topic is actually my preferred way of working. This can be for a general audience or more specialised environments like universities.
The most unique experiences on offer are talks in which I talk about one of my investigative adventures from a personal and often humorous/touching/thrilling perspective.
In Dutch, English or both? Doesn't matter!
Anything else?
Just ask. Improvisational acting in a short film? Guided tours? Help write your script or book? Co-author an academic paper? Give a workshop on “Defence Against the (Digital) Dark Arts” or “carbon mass balance calculations”? It wouldn't be the first time, so bring it on.
